Call for proposals: Human Rights in Pandemic Times (Brussels)

An international symposium on ‘Human Rights in Pandemic Times: Political Exceptionalism, Social Vulnerability & Restricted Freedoms’ is taking place in Brussels on the 6th and 7th of September 2021.

The organizing scientific committee, consisting of researchers of all the French speaking universities of Belgium and Luxembourg, is welcoming contributions.

  • Proposals (max. 500 words) should be sent in English or French by December 15, 2020 to the following e-mail address: camille.lanssens@ulb.be. Please include your name, institutional affiliation and a brief CV.
  • Applicants will be informed of the acceptance or rejection of their proposal by February 1st 2021.
  • The symposium will take place in a hybrid form in Brussels, with online webcasting and the possibility of participation by videoconference. The proposal must indicate a preference for an on-site or videoconference presentation. A collective publication subject to a double-blind peer-review will follow the symposium (spring 2022).
